“And Our Families” exhibition and project draws inspiration from paintings representing families and portraits from the MFA’s collection. Under the guidance of Somerville artist Raul Gonzalez, 91 students from eight after-school community organizations in the Boston area created family portraits using pen, ink, and color on stained paper. This community based art project led to appreciation of those in their families, the combination of the drawings, photographs, and memorabilia and personal objects creating a memorial to the importance of the people that define us. The Community Arts Initiative is generously supported by the Linde Family Foundation. For more information on the MFA’s community programs, please visit www.mfa.org Video Rating: 0 / 5

betfreebie.com Basketball Allen Iverson had the finish Paul Pierce and Antoine Walker were looking for. Iverson scored eight of his 28 points in the final 73 seconds to salvage his team 39 s season and lead the Philadelphia 76ers to an 83 81 victory over the Boston Celtics that evened their Eastern Conference first round series at two games each. Win. It 39 s the only thing we can think about Iverson said. We fought hard to get back in the series. We 39 re really not thinking about anything more. The only thing I care about is finishing out. After shooting poorly all game Iverson made his last three shots and two clinching free throws that sent the series between the long time rivals back to Boston for Game Five on Friday.Iverson upstaged Pierce and Walker who are playing in their first postseason. They have carried the Celtics all season but again came up just a bit short in their quest to eliminate the defending Eastern Conference champions. Pierce had to work hard for his 20 points as he struggled for most of the game before coming alive briefly in the fourth quarter. Walker scored 25 points but was scoreless in the final period. This is what playoff basketball is all about Pierce said. Nobody said it was going to be easy when we got here. It 39 s obviously not. It 39 s hard to get the clinching game said Iverson who has gotten five of them in his career. Those shots at the beginning of the game are a lot easier than the ones at end of the game when you 39 re looking … Video Rating: 0 / 5
The Celtics head to Minnesota after losing to Memphis and Charlotte at home and are hoping to avoid a 3 game losing streak which they haven’t got yet and they do it, even though it wasn’t such a great game heading into the 2nd half but it’s still a win. Pierce led the team with 23 points, while Kevin Garnett scored 13 and grabbed 13 rebounds which is a double double. Krystic and Allen scored 11. The Boston Celtics head to Miami to take on the Heat but it wasn’t such a pretty game for the Celtics. Even though the Celtics are 3-0 over the Heat they played badly tonight against the Heat who completely destroyed the Celtics and taking over the #2 spot with a 100-77 win. Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 24 points while Kevin Garnett added 21 points. Ray Allen and Rondo didn’t play so great and wasn’t a factor with only a combined 7 of 17 shooting from the field for 20 points. Lebron James scored his game high 27 points while Dwayne Wade added 13 and Chris Bosh had 13 as well. Also the Heat’s bench was a major factor for the Heat plus it gave Lebron, Wade, and Bosh some rest and they basically left it up to the bench to hold on to win and they did but the Celtics came as close as 10 but then they lose it when the Heat started scoring and at that momment the game was over. The Boston Celtics after coming off a dominating loss to the Chicago Bulls on Thursday, wanted to bounce back by heading back to Boston to face the Wizards for a back to back and as all of you know the Celtics don’t do well in back to back games but they did good, easily handling the Wizards to stay tied with the Heat for 2nd place in the eastern conference. Paul Pierce led all scorers with 22 points and grabbing 12 rebounds and all starters were in double figures due to Rondos aggressive play scoring 20 points and dishing out 14 assists. On the Wizards, Andray Blatche scored 20 points while John Wall also scored 20 points but he didn’t have such a great scoring night with only 7 of 18 shooting along with 7 assists and 5 steals but turned over the ball 7 times in the game.
